ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਬਿਪਰ ਤਖਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜੂਨ ੧੯੮੪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਉੱਪਰ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਹੁਣ ਸਿੱਖ ਉੱਠ ਨਹੀ ਸਕਣਗੇ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਿਦਕ ਤੋਂ ਅਣਜਾਣ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਪੰਜ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਤੀਰ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਨੇ ਜਦ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਵੱਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਜੰਗ ਦਾ ਰੁਖ ਬਦਲ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹੀ ਤੀਰ ਜਦ ਸੰਤ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤਖਤ ਵੱਲ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਿੱਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੱਲ ਚੱਲ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ ਸੀ।

The Punjab Cabinet approved an industrial park near the Mattewara forest range and Sutlej River in the Ludhiana district. The park as per the Cabinet decision was to be set up on approximately 1000 acres and the land of Sekhowal Gram Panchayat (416.1 acres), Salempur Gram Panchayat (27.1 acres) and Sailklan Gram Panchayat (20.3 acres) was acquired for this purpose.
